The Arboretum gardens are open from dawn until dusk each day. The Arboretum was created in 1991 as a joint effort between the University of Kentucky and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government.The Visitor Center is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Admission is free.The Arboretum has 115 parking places available. There is no charge for parking. Parking overnight is not allowed.
Comments: Very well-maintained gardens. A nice location for a small wedding. No provisions if it rains and many restrictions...great walking track though....while you're there, don't forget to check out the Walnut Woods woodland park in the back right corner of walking track. Tres cool! See Waveland Museum if you need less restrictions. I think the walking track is two miles round trip...can anyone confirm this? -kev-
Restrictions: No amplified music, no receptions (indoor and/or outdoor), no parking or driving on grass, and no alcohol.
Capacity: Parties under 50 recommended, but you can also rent a tent for an additional $100 charge
